Entry #7: Fresh

Hello today I will talk about the film we discussed as a topic in our class. The film fresh is surprisingly about food, here I’ll answer some questions regarding the film as well as analyzing some parts.

Fresh is a nutrition film that is used as a documentary that documents the process of food throughout the farms as well as the daily tasks a farmer goes through and the machinery use within the process of steps. The purpose of the film was to inform its audience about the process of food and the material or things in the foods that people consume. The audience is daily grocers as in people who buy meats because the documentary is based upon the meat and or farming production and what contains inside of the buyers items. It is used to inform the audience about what they are eating. The tone of this documentary is strong and firm which makes the audience really take into consideration the items they are consuming or buying from the grocery store or purchasing for consumption.

The parts of the film that really stood out to me was when the speaker talked about his sickness that came from eating the farm animals and how the doctors could not identify what the sickness was either. I found it interesting how the foods that an animal eats also affect who or what eats that animal after. I thought it was kind of cool also because it is something unexpected and something I did not know affected the human body. The film itself made me fascinated in some parts. I’m not too much into the whole farming plot but it was nice to receive information that I did not know about.

I think the film is useful to many people and it can make people consider their eating habits so I think we should care. It made me start thinking about what I eat better too.

That’s all for this week.
